A superfood is a nutrient-rich food considered to be especially beneficial for health and well-being. Superfoods have more antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients than other types of foods.
It means to nourish, to lunch, to snack, to seek beauty in Persian.
Noosh originated on the beautiful island of Curacao. Our superfoods are sourced from all over the world but are packaged in a facility on the island of Curacao. Since most of our products are certified organic, they are sourced where they are in season and this may vary from time to time. Where a choice exists, we source as close to home as possible. We strive to get our products directly from farmers, and take every opportunity to visit the farms from which we buy. This allows us to preserve our organic integrity and ensure fair business practices throughout the supply chain.
All our products are vegan although not all have the vegan certification. Our energy squares and whole wheat bars are certified vegan.
Yes, with the exception of our Whole Wheat Raspberry Bars, Hot Banana Chips and our Organic Tropical Mix.
In a nutshell, food products carrying the USDA Certified Organic label are grown to the organic standards set forth by the National Organic Program of the USDA. Organic farmers are prohibited from using harmful synthetic pesticides and herbicides, irradiation, sewage sludge, genetically engineered seeds, and synthetic fertilizers. Organic farming maintains and improves the productivity of the soil by enhancing natural biological processes. For more information, visit the USDA National Organic Program website or the Northeast Organic Farming Association website.
Our certified organic dried fruits contain no added refined sugars, sulfur, or other preservatives. Our dried cranberries are sweetened with organic apple juice. Our fruit is either sun dried or tunnel dried to specific moisture contents, depending on the product.
Yes, our packaging is biodegradable since it is made out of rice paper.
The best way to store our products is in a cool and dry environment, with limited or no exposure to sunlight or oxygen, i.e. in a sealed container. Our nuts (with the exception of walnuts), seeds, dried fruits and chips can be kept at room temperature. However, if you\’re going to be storing them for longer, storing them in a refrigerator or freezer will keep them fresher. Walnuts, specifically are best kept stored in the refrigerator. Our energy squares are best kept stored in the refrigerator. Our bags are resealable so if you opened the package and want to store the rest for another time just make sure you close the bag airtight. On the left lower corner of the package there is a best by date.
You can find the macronutrients per serving of each one of our snacks on their label.
